DESCRIPTION:Jasper Chamber of Commerce is partnering with Memorial Hospital and Health Care Center to sponsor a health screening for Chamber members and the public. \nThis screening offers you an opportunity to know your health status\, improve your lifestyle and stay healthy. \n\nBlood Cholesterol (Total Cholesterol\, HDL\, LDL\, Triglycerides\, Cholesterol Ratio)\nBlood Pressure\nHeight and Weight\nWaist Circumference\nBMI (Body Mass Index)\nBlood Glucose\nChemistry panel\nTobacco Status\nColon Cancer detection take-home kits\, optional for those over age 50\nPSA (blood draw)\, optional for men 50 and older or those with a risk for prostate cancer\n\nCOST: \nBasic Screening: $38 \nPSA blood test: $20 (optional for men) \nColon Cancer detection kits: $8 (optional) \nPWP AdvantageTM health risk assessment: $20 paper version (optional) \nCarbon Monoxide screening: $6 (optional) \n  \nREGISTER: Appointments are now being accepted for the 2016 Jasper Chamber Health Screening. Please go to the hospital’s website at www.mhhcc.org\, scroll down and click on “Health Screening.” Then enter “Jasper Chamber” as the company name and “2016” as the password. Click on the date of screening/time you prefer for your health screening\, and complete the registration process. \nAppointments will be made every 15 minutes. \nTwelve (12) hour fast is needed for blood work. \nYou may drink water and take prescribed medications. \nBlood is taken by venipuncture.

No charge – donations are appreciated.\nJasper City Mill – Watch as corn is ground into cornmeal every 30 minutes. Learn about the history of Jasper and the Mill.\nPatoka 2000 Duck Race – 1:00 pm start. Fun family event with great prizes. Proceeds benefit the beautification of Jasper efforts in around the Patoka River area. $5 per duck or 3 for $10.\nSuds Club – Watcht he old art of beer making from local experts (Shelter House).\nConcert (sponsored by Smithville Fiber) – 3:00 – 4:30 pm at the Gazebo.\n\nAdditional Events: Face-painting by Ruth\, Historic Barn on E. 4th Street at the Riverwalk entrance\, Historical Walking Tour of Jasper\, and the River Walk will be open.
