DESCRIPTION:SANTA CLAUS WILL BE IN DOWNTOWN JASPER: \nFRIDAY – November 26 – Santa participates in the “Santa Comes to Town Parade” at 1:00 p.m. then sits in His Special House from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. \nSANTA will greet children at the Fire Station from 12-12:45\n \nChildren are encouraged to dress up as Christmas packages and walk along with this mini-parade.  Children can then visit with Santa (in his house) all afternoon until 3:00 p.m. \nHand sanitizer\, masks\, and a shield for Santa will be provided\, but children are still permitted to sit on Santa’s lap.   \nChildren and families can bring canned goods that will be donated to the Community Food Bank! \nSANTA’S SCHEDULE:   \n\nFri. Nov. 26:  1:00-3:00\nSat. Nov. 27:  Noon-3:00\nSun. Nov 28:  Noon-3:00\nFri. Dec. 3:  5-8:00 pm  Carriage rides will also be available in front of City Hall from 5-8 p.m.\nSat. SUMMARY:2021 Christmas Décor & Lighting Contest
DESCRIPTION:The Jasper Jaycees and the Jasper Chamber of Commerce are pleased to announce their combined efforts\, once again this year\, for the Outdoor Home/Christmas Decorating and Lighting Contest for Jasper residents. \nThe contest is open to all residents of Jasper and those living within one mile of the city limits.  Past response to the contest has been tremendous and former entries are encouraged to enter again.  Residents are encouraged to make plans now for the 2021 contest.  It is a wonderful way to show your Christmas spirit and a great way to help decorate the City of Jasper for the holidays. \nThe categories for this year’s contest are:  Most Traditional; Best Use of Lights; Family Theme; and Most Original.  Prizes are awarded to the top three homes in each category. \nThe entry blank for the contest will be published two times in The Herald newspaper.  It will appear on Saturday\, November 27 and Tuesday\, November 30.  Additional forms are available at the Jasper Chamber of Commerce at 302 West 6th Street or by calling 812-482-6866. \nEntries must be received in the Jasper Chamber office no later than Monday\, December 6.  Mail all entries to PO Box 307\, Jasper\, Indiana 47547-0307.  Email to:  chamber@jasperin.org or fax to the Chamber at 812-848-2015. \nJudging will take place on Friday evening\, December 10th.  Lights should be turned on by 6:00 pm that evening.\n \n  \n  \n  \n  \n  \n  \n  \n
