Women Empowering Women February Event

February 17, 2021 @ 11:30 AM

The Dubois County women’s leadership organization, Women Empowering Women will host its next event, virtually, on Wednesday, February 17 to hear Dr. Stephen O’Connor, Chief Science Officer of Liv Labs, LLC.  His presentation is titled “Functional Medicine and Women’s Health.”  The session will be held via the Zoom webinar platform and begin at 11:45 am.  This event is open to all prospective and current WEW members.

Dr. Stephen O’Connor spent 33 years as an Emergency Medicine specialist.  Then six years ago, his professional and personal views were turned upside down!  After his wife began taking a nutritional supplement that transformed her health and wellness virtually overnight, he could not discredit the results.  While traditional Western Medicine has made amazing and miraculous advances, most chronic diseases we face have been largely unresolved with current traditional management.  Dr. O’Connor believes that we can do much better using a more Naturopathic and Functional Medical treatment philosophy.

In the last decade, he has become a student of “alternative” medical practices.  He has an extensive background in nutrition, supplementation, and new health technologies, including stem cell therapies.  Dr. O’Connor is currently involved in supplement research and product formulation for Liv Labs, LLC, as their Chief Science Officer.  Additionally, he functions as the Chief Medical Officer for the Salutem Health Group, overseeing clinical, educational, and research activities.

Advanced reservations are required to get the link to the call.  Reservations should be made by calling the Jasper Chamber of Commerce at 812-482-6866 or by emailing chamber@jasperin.org by Monday, February 15.  The link to the meeting will then be emailed to all participants prior to the call on February 17.

The mission of Women Empowering Women is to inspire women in business to reach their highest potential by instilling confidence, building networks, and promoting community in Dubois County.  Membership is open to any woman in business who lives or works in Dubois County.
