KROBAR (Krodel-Barrett) is an enterprising company located in Jasper, Indiana and Arizona, specializing primarily in the lapidry, prospecting, specialized furniture, silver smithing and jewelry industry since 1968. Started as a hobby by Dan Barrett while working for the US Army Corps of Engineers in Galveston, Texas, where Mr. Barrett would grind and polish western style gem stone studded belt buckles for rodeo participants. The continued periods of learning the craft for the Barrett family along with advanced experience and education in the science of lapidary techniques, mineral discovery, led to studies in Wyoming, Oregon, and Arizona in the US and Germany, Japan and The Philippines. Studying mostly in lapidary schools in Arizona and Indiana, advancements were made in handmade jewelry design and silver smithing. Formed as a registered company in the State of Indiana in 2014(KROBAR). Today the company excels in a very unique design of high quality gem stone - sterling silver jewelry featuring a unique matching gem stone bail along with prospecting for fossils and educating the public by selling specimens of a geological, biological and mineral nature.
